AIRFIELD HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RECONFIGURED AND THE
RUNWAY EXTENDED FROM 4,865 to 7,300 FT.
10.5 NM NW OF CHUNG-CHING AND IMMEDIATELY
WEST OF PAI-SHIH-I AT 2929K - 10621E.
THIS AIRFIELD WAS DEVELOPED AND UTILIZED
BY THE USAF DURING WORLD WAR II. IT WAS
REHABILITATED BY THE CHINESE COMMUNIST AIR
FORCE IN 1950 AIGD HAS BEEN USED BY TRANSPORT
AIRCRAFT SINCE.
PHOTOGRAPHY HAS REVEALED AIRCRAFT AT THIS
FIELD ON ONLY TWO OCCASIONS: 1 CRATE WAS
OBSERVED THERE ON MISSION
AND 2 COACH/CRATE WERE OBSERVED ON MISSION

LINK, 1 CROSSOVER LINK, 4 PARKING APRONS, AND 2 ALERT APRONS HAVE BEEN
ADDED. ALL FACILITIES ARE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
NUMEROUS WORKERS HOUSING BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED ON A DRY LAKE
