SIGNIFICANCE: THIS BRIEFING BOARD DEPICTS THE SOVIET TANKER GAGED IN OFF-LOADING OPERATIONS. 2. LOCATION: THE SOVIET LENINGRAD-CLASS TANKER IS ANCHORED 0.5 NM NORTHEAST OF LE GOELAND ISLAND, 5.5 NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF HON GAI IN THE SOUTHEAST AREA OF VUNG HA LONG (BAY). 3. REMARKS: THIS WAS THE SECOND TANKER-TO-BARGE POL OFF-LOADING OPERATION OBSERVED ON PHOTOGRAPHY IN THIS AREA SINCE BOMBING OF THE MAJOR NORTH VIETNAMESE WILL TRANSFER HER CARGO TO BARGES AND LIGHTERS, WHICH 4. MISSION READOUT: ]REVEALS THE 10,000 METRIC TON TANKER WITH FOUR POL BARGES ALONGSIDE. FUELING HOSES ARE OBSERVED BETWEEN THE TANKER AND TWO BARGES, AND CAMOUFLAGE NETTING IS APPARENT OVER THE FOUR BARGES.
