I am firmly planning to be present for the meeting of the
Commercial Club of Boston - the Merchants Club - on January 20,
1959, which you mention in your letter of 26 November 1958. I
shall speak off the record, as you suggest, and deal with some of
the problems of intelligence and what we are trying to do about them.

In due course please let me know how long you want me to
speak, and give me the time and place of the meeting and any other
suggestions you feel might be helpful, although your two letters
fairly well cover the general nature of the meeting.
I hope that my trip to Boston will give me a chance to see
