1. Gen. 1?miliano Chamorro, Nicaraguan conservative leader now in exile,
is said to have informed a supporter inside Nicaragua that he would
return to the country if nothing was done by 10 January 1949 to oust
Oomosa. A racaical change in oppositionist plans i;4 foreseen if Chamorro
decides to work from within Nioaraguas
2. uprisings originally scheduled to take place in late December in the
Segovia J.nd other areas of Nicaragua have now been postponed indefinitely
by the oppositioniats because of International complications caused by
the attack: on Costa Rica.
