1. Great shortages of material prevail at the present time in the Buckau-Wolff
works at Magdeburg. The material on hand has been used up by extensive overtime
and special shift work in order to make up deficits in production quotas. There
will be no more production until the end of November 1953?
2._ The Sovietshipi engines which came in for repair in :eptember 19531ihave been
finished and shipped out. Pressure hulls for Soviet submarines are be.iuir,
manufactured at the present time to Soviet specifications. It, is not now
known how many will be built.
3. Only one 300 hp. Diesel engine was completed in October,,19530materia3.:ehortages

construction of new sanitary facilities and a new coal bunker are under
consideration.
