SUBJECT: Transmittal of Manuscript of M/S! Contribution for Project 20.740,
"Coking Coals in the Soviet Bloc".
1. Attached is the original and three copies of M/S' contribution
for Project 20.7.0, "Coking Coals in the Soviet Bloc'i
2. This project was initiated at the informal request of St/PR.
3. Attention is directed to the documentation which includes
some sources classified SECRET/NOFORN. No specific information is
included, however, with a classification higher than SECRET. Time
did not permit documenting individual items.

1.. Although '114/S has recently completed a study of coking coals
in the USSR, ORR Project 26.Ij7L, no research had been done on these
coals in the Satellites. The time allocated to the Branch was not
sufficient to. warrant more than a cursory review of readily available
information.
