Thank you for your letter of i February 1954,
in behalf of I I who has applied
for a position with this Agency.
I appiicaton was given careful con-
sideration when he applied. Unfortunately, however, we
did not have a suitable vacancy for him, and he was in-
formed of this by our Personnel Office on 19 August 1953.

I had his file carefully reviewed to see if there
was any possibility of employing him at the present time.
However, I must be frank to admit that we are doing very
little hiring now, and I lack of experience in
the field of international relations and area studies zniti-
gates against him in employment here. Therefore. I
regret to say that there is nothing we can do for
at this time.
