Information has been received that 2,300 Greek guerrillas are located
along the Tirana-Shkoder Road. During the first week in Septembtir,
120 were transferred to Korce,, and 150 to Gjinokasterm
2. Those remaining along the Tirana-Shkoder line reportedly receive their
military training at an unspecified location, some 25 kilometers nor-On
of Tirana.
3. Patrol squads, consisting exclusively of Greek guerrillas, patrol and
control the Elbasan-Librazhd-Pogradec Roadp
4. In addition 1,200 rebels have been incorporated into the Peoples
Militia (sic)*, where they are destined to reinforce Cominform elements?
As a matter of fact, several "purges" have taken place in the Peoplers
Militia, where defections are said to b4 becoming more and more frequent.
5. On 15 August 1950, a group of Nationalists, under the command of Hyani
Belishova**, successfully attacked the police barracks of Pogradec, where
they destroyed a depot of war materiel belonging to the Greek rebels.
