ABSTRACT: A'series-of specimi-ens of AMgll-aluminum-magnesium alloy (10.7% magnesium)
was solution annealed at 460C for 2 hr, water quenched and subjected to
thermomechanical treatment, rolled with a reduction of 20% in one pass or
.40% in two passes with reheating at 20, 100, 200. 300 or 400C. and then
?aged at 175-200C for 1-10 hr. The best combination of mechanical
properties was shown by spect mens rolled with 40% reduction at 200C,
1/2 UDC: 669.715,539.37

200C) condition. Corresponding figures for the specimens rolled at 200C
and aged at the same temperature for I hr were 51.5 kg/mm2, 31.0 kg/=2,
and 10%. As a rule, aging lowered the yield strength without affecting
the elongation. The increase in defor,3tion temperature slightly lowered,
the hardness. Aging at 100-200C at first lowers the hardness but sub-
sequently raises it, but not over the level attained by deformation. In
stress-corrosion tests, specimens rolled at 200C with 20% reduction. as-
rolled or aged at 200C for 1, 5 or 10 hr, withstood 90 day tests without
cracking-but-showed some signs 6f intergranular corrosion. Specimens
rolled with a redtiction of 40% showed a susceptibility to oxfoliation.

TEXTs Considered Is an insurance method for which the insured pays
the sum Lf(e,x), if in the interval (9,s+ds), he is in the stRte x and
obtains the sum A(B,X,Y), if in the moment a he changes from the state x
into the state yj x,y,s are continuously variable on the real number
line. The probability densities are also given which correspond to a
transition of the insured from the state x, in which the insured was in
the time interval (t,a), into a state from the interval (y,y + dy) during
the time (s,s + do). Under certain assumptions on the continuity there
are deduced integro-differential equations for the net gain of the
insured who in in an (arbitrary) state x during the time (t,s), and for
different densities of the transition probabilities.

Ballistocardiograms of 150 people of varying age were examined. Wth regard to the
well-known connection between ballistocardiogram and age, only the data of persons
below 30 yr. of age with an intact circulation were used in this study. In 30 out of
the 97 patients of this age group, distinctly pathological ballistocardiograms, were
found (31 %), mainly in heavily affected cases which extended to one or sevcral
lobes. The following characteristic deviations were observed: (a) preponderance of
the pathologically low 1-j sections; (b) low K-waves; (c) high L-waves; (d) propor-
tional diminution of all waves after pneumo D .toneum. The pathological characte-
ristics noted in the ECG of young people aff(Zed by pulmonary diseases with an
ntact circulation are ascribed to an increased resistance in the pulmonary circula-
tion. The pathological abnormalities of the different b.AlistoFardioqmphic waves
may be caused by the haemodynamic changes in the systemic or Me pulmonary
