The renewed invitations will be handled informally; new letters from you
do not seem to be necessary.
5. Although the invitation list will consist of twenty-one names, we
expect six or seven at most to be able to accept on any given date. This
will be roughly twice the number we have had on earlier visits. Reflecting
the view of some senior staff members, Mr. Bowie especially, that the time
and effort expended here will be better justified if the group of visitors
is larger. The schedule and sequence of meetings for this visit should be
substantially the same as the successful meeting of 14 June. Once a date
is settled on, this office will coordinate the remaining. arrangements.

6. Actions Recommended:
a. That you sign the letters to the fourteen university
presidents.
b. That you indicate your concurrence with the arrange-
ments proposed for handling the third university presidents
visit.
