My dear Admiral Turner:
STATINTL I have your recent letter which was delivered to me recently by the

I can accept your very kind invitation to join with a number of other
university presidents on February 15, 1979 for a day at the head-
quarters of the Central Intelligence Agency.
I am making some modification in travel plans by virtue of your very
kind invitation, but I believe that it will be necessary for me to
depart from National Airport no later than 5:30 p.m. on February 15.
I hope that this will not significantly interfere with the program
which you have arranged for us.
I certainly hope that your son who completed his academic program
at Oregon State University has had a successful experience during the
last seven years. We like to keep track of our alumni, and I will
look forward to an opportunity to chat with you briefly about what he
has been doing and what the future holds for him.
