On'the basis of the characteristically of narrowed" TW, noted in the majority of the dogs, it iv. assumed that the failure of activation is due to a rapid inliibition of the titreptokinase- activated fibrinolpin rather 'than to a lack of the proactivator. Transmission metal interference filters are produced by the application of two well reflecting semi-transparent metal coatings - separated by a non- -transparent layer of salt (dielectric) - to a transparent sheet, Bay glass. A proper choice of the reflection factoreq,of the material and thickness of the dielectric makes it possible for only a very narrow band of the, wave range of the light (about 8-12 nm/m-9/) to be transmitted.' The characteristic data of the interference fringe transmitted by metal filters ares 1) the wave length of the light ( Amax ) transmitted with 10 21205 H/012/60/008/003/001/001 Metal interference filters ... B122[B227 maximum intensityl the maximum transmission (T max ) of the filterp or the relative intensity of transmission measured at A max ; 3) the half-fringe width (V)s, which is the yardstick of monochromatism measured at Tmax/2. Less frequently used in the 1/10 fringe width measured at TM../10* These parameters are computed from Maxwellts equations. The authors write down the simplified form of maximum transmission resulting from these equational TmaX7 TI/(1 + Rf)2, where T and R are the transmission and reflection f f f factors, respectively, of the metal 1 er. From this follows the expres- II W max sion of half-frirge widthg W - ----- ------------- ------ , where jvf is (mlr-yf)arc sin(l-Rf)/2fR-f the phase angle and m the order of interference - 1, 2, 3, These formulas hold for perpendicular incidence and a parallel light beam only. The field of application of metal interference filters is wide* They are used in various photometric, photochemical, colorimetrie, etc., r,.QrA 2/4. Their importance is growing with the development of va- cuum engineering, especially vacuum evaporation, applied in their Drepa- ration. The authors illv.strate the method of calculation by an example (~\max ~ 550 nm, W = 10 nm). N max is calculated from the approximative formulat 2d = M~\ max# choosing the optical thickness (d) 'of the dielectric Rf is calculated from the formula of relative fringe width: W/ max , and is found to be 96%. Knowing thisp the thickness of the silver layer 3 is calculated from empirical data and is found to be 500 A. The results of calculation are illustrated in Pigs, 3 and 4. The Gamma Optical Works have conducted research into the.technological problems of the production of homogeneous metal interference filters. They have found that in the visible spectrum range (400-750 nm)v filters of 25-35% maximum transmis- sion can be produced on arty wave length. L. G. Doropey, D. T. Yushchenko, Ye. I. Shkolenko and A. S. Ko- sik took part in-the construction of this machine. The test pin is conveyed from a container via a distributing device into a vertical pipe (850 mm long). During this stage the pin is comrletely magnetized (in a magnet coil), demagnetized (in a demagnetizing coil) and induces an electromotive force in the form of a single sinusoid in the measuring coil. Dependent on the polarity and the magnitude of the amplitude of the sinusoid the pin is conveyed into one of the cells (for hard, soft or normal art4j.cles) by means of a special electron scheme. The number of controlled pins is recorded by a counter. This auto- matic machine can control 7000 9-iort or 3000 long pins per Card 1/2 hour.
