Title : Concerning the Monstancy the Spectral Characteristic of Oxygen-Caesium and Antimony-Caesium Vacuum Photoce.11s. Orig Pub : Zh. tekhn. fiziki, 1956, P-6, no 6, 1170-1173 Abstract : An investigation vas made of the variation in the integral sensitivity and in the spectrAl distribution of the sensitivity as functions of the applied anode voltage in antimony-cga.siun photocells with cathode on a metal lifer (silver) and in type XV-4 oxygen-caesium photocells-over a range of anode voltages of 220 -- 6000 volts for the former and ~20 -- 3000 volts for the latter. It was established that the integral sensitivity of ant~mony-caesium photocells starts to increase noticeably (by 1 -- 2%) only after the anode voltage-ripes to 1,000. A particularly substantial increase in the Ootocurrent is,obs~rved in this case near the red boundary (at 6 kv, 'the 'sensitivity indrevises by 15 25$ ati 7%- 6400 A). In the case of oxygen-caesium photocel-Is, the integral sensitivityiincreases by 1 .- 1.5% as soon as the anode voltage rises to 500, and is Increased'by ap- proximatelY 5% at 3,000 volts. The spectral characteristic of this cathode remains practically the same. Bibliography, 5 titles.
