ABSTRACT: Earlier authors have suggested a breakdown of cellular poly-
ribosomes as the reason for depressed protein synthesis under these
conditions, In the search for additional reasons the authors used,
chicken embryo calls Infected with RNA containing Newcastle disease
virusi determined bemagWtInin In the cell cultures at various periods
after Infection,, used C, to label the aminoacids, in the cell protein,

Abstract: Dinitrilos of suooinio, fumario, and chloroihaloio
acids react with phosphorus pentaehloride In boiling chlorobenzene
-to form cyclic 293!A-
~tri_q)jlorq-5- -N-tetraphlorophosphorus-
Amino
pyrrolenine.1) The struoture of the latter was confirmed by
nfrared speotra. It Is extremely stable to theaotion of halogona
and halogen compounds of phosphorus. It reacts readily with
nucleophille reagents water, alcohols, amines, and amides of
acids. It reacts with benzenesulfamide according to the Xtroanov
scheme, to form 2,3,4-triahloro-5-iminopyrrolonyldlohlorophooz,
phazosulfonylphe.nyl, which In readily hydrolyzed by atmoopher
moisture, f ormirg dichloromaleimide. Under the aotion of aoetio
acid or sulfur dioxide, the original ImInopyrrolenine Is readily
converted to 2#3,4-triohloro-5-imino-N-dlohlorophotiphonylpyr-
rolenina. IbPRSs 37,1771

ABSTRACT: In the present report tha authors descrx~4e 'the fi~rst re-
preseatatives of the oompounda with phanylene ailoxane chains
of the molecules surrounded by methyl groups. These were pro-
duced by the authors by means of the action of magnesium on
p-dilaromobenzene with a subsequent decomposition of the
Grignard reagent by dime, hyl dichlorosilane. As was found by

ABSTRACT, The authors review the article wi~,h the above title,
published in the "Izvestiya Akademii nauk SSSR,

In the firs

characteristics of carbonatites.

African deposits. The second section explains both
the mechanism of forming complex masses of ultrabasic-
alkaline rock and the formation processes of carbona-

Decisive objections are raised to Borodin's state-
ments on the origins of alkaline rock, their inLerre-
lations with ultrabacites. genesis of care-metal mi-
neralization, etc. The sEatement by L.S. Borodin on
the origin of alkaline rock as a result of the hypo-
tbetical process of "nephelinization" of pyroxenites
is proven by the fact that independent melteigite-
ijolite intrusions, knovin within the bounds of the
Southern KandalakAa strip of the lower-Paleozoic
masses of ultrabasic-alkaline rock, do,in fact,
exist. The same holds true for Borodins statement
regarding the metasomatic nature of perovskite and
apat-ite in ultrabasic rock of masses under discussion.
The authors conclude -that much remains unclear regard-

TEXT: Certain reCularities of Nb and Ta behavior in the formation process
o' the ultrabasic-alkali intrusions of the Kola Peninsula are considered.
Nu.-nerous che.-,,,ical and spectral analyses of ro(--'f;s and minerals have
established that Nb and Ta are characteristic elements of the given
comnlexes. The average contents of these in the massifs of the Kola
Peninsula fluctuate within the range: 1.34-5-18*10- 2 ;v' Nb and
1.112-5-96-10-3 % Ta. The character of Nb and Ta distribution and the
forms of their occurrence are different for various staees of macsif

initial stages of the massifs' formation Nb and Ta do not form
individual minerals, but are er-docryptically seized by the rock-forming
silicates and compound oxides of Ti; the process of mineroGenesis Ta
precedes Nb. In the prodticts of residual crystallization (pegmatites) of
a given maC~ma, these elements form individual minerals (pyrochlore) or
a2pear as components of compound oxides of Zr and Ti (baddeleyite,
dys-analite). During the post-magmatic stage the various metasomatic
processes bring about their local concentrations. Greater mobility of
Xb than Ta is established. The separation of Nb and T-- is conditioned by
the factor of crystallo-chemical selection resulting in selective
endocryptic position of Ta in struoture2 of Zr-minerals, and collection
in the complex oxides with reduced coordination ratio. LAbstracter's
