VESTN. OTO -RHINO- LARING. 1957, 3 (71-78)
Changes of the EEG after caloric tests in patients with
tumours of the posterior
fossae of the cranium lasted from 2 to 8 min. These
changes depended not so
much on the state of the vestibular apppLratus as on the
preceding functional con-
dition of the cerebral cortex, showing depression,
exaltation of electrical activity
or remaining unchanged. Changes in the EEG after
calorization in patients lacking
vestibular excitability, are apparently caused by
thermo-tactile stimulation of the
skin in the auditory channel, Hence, the caloric probe
should be regarded as a
complex stimulus. (Xl' 8*)

ABSTRACT: Presentation of the experience of the Krasnyy

plant in anodizing (A) and coloring (C) of Al articles. The
ef-
fect of the method of surface preparation and of the purity of
the Al on the quality of A in a sulfate electrolyte was
investi-
gated. Electrochemical buffing (EB) of surface proved to be
the best preparatory technique. During EB a matte lattice ap-
pears on A- I grade Al. The formation of the lattice is
observed
in the presence of admixtures of (in 16) Cu 0.006, Fe 0.18,
and
Si 0. 15. During EB of Al containing (in 0/6) Cu 0.005, Fe
0.003,
and Si 0.009 the greatest brightness was achieved and no matte
lattice was observed. Special attention was given to the
rolling
in of lubricant during.the rolling of Al, because in that case

and EB. Process of coloring anodized Al articles golden,
red, and lilac
was investigated. Duration of C and temperature of the
solution are deter-
mining factors of the intensity of coloration. Corrosion
tests have shown
that anodized and colored articles possess hi-Rh corrosion
resistance in food
mediums.
