ABSTRAM Experiments to prepare layer luminophores using aILTdnum oxide as a base
material and organic activators are described. The investigation was undertaken be-,
cause it seemed of particular interest as a contribution to a better understanding,
of alumin= oxide luminophores to choose such activators which., when they are usedl
mike the overlapping of the absorption and fluorescence spectra insignificant. The
overall emission spectra and phospborescence spectra of the organic activators in
aluminum oxide were measured at room temperature and at the temperature of liquid air.
The preparation of the luminophores is described and the measurement method and rer

-the position of the fluorescence spectrum is very little dependent on the.solvent for
the compounds investigated even though the dielectric constants (9- - 2-7 - 3.2 and

TEXT: An extensive review article on atomic spectroscopy concern-
ing investigations of the transition probabilities in atoms by mea-
suring zllie strengths of spectral iine oscillators and the intensic,
ratios in spectral lines. The experimental data are systematically
tabulated and, where availablep a comparison with the theoretical
and the semi-empirical rule predictions is given, including a dis-
cussion of the implications borne out by some of the observed dis-
crepancies. A full bibliography comprising more than 450 positions
is presented for elements of the further columns of the periodic
table. There are 5 figures and 11 tables, and 15 references. The
