A quantum Kinetic Equation for a Plasma in Consideration of Correlation. 56-7-19/66 compared to the first term. In the case of ahortrange forces and in a domain in which pair interaction suffices, a kinetic equation for the quantum-like distribution function in obtained. This kinetic equation corresponds to the equation for the density matrix which was derived by BOGOLYUBOV and GUROV. The present paper investigatea the first-mentioned equations for F and F only for systems of particles with COULOMB interaction. Hess equations are specialized here for the following ease: The interaction is weak and tho correlation radius, which is due to exchange interaction, is smaller than the correlation radius of the COULOMB interaction rD. The equations derived here ath 4 0 go over into the equations contained in 11 of the well-known monograph by BOGOLTUBOV (Problemy dinamicheakoy theorii v statistioheskoy fizike - Problems of Dynamical Theory in Statistical Physics, Goztekhizdat, 1946). From the equations derived here the quantum-like kinetic equation for the function F,(plt) is obtained by means of a trans- formation and is written down explicitly. In conclusion CARD 2/3 some special oases are pointed out in short. Fiziko-matematicheskiye nauki, 1958, Nr 2, pp 189-191 (USSR) ABSTRAM Usually, in the quantum theory the kinetic equation is con- structed for a large number of equal particles moving in the cloud of a uniformly distributed compensating spatial charge. But in general, this description of the stochastic process is only approximative. Therefore the author tries to arrange the quantum- kinetic equation for a system of charged particles consisting of particles of arbitrarily many sorts. He starts from the quantum equation of Temko and Klimontovich LrRef 2 ]d3scribing the behavior of the single particles in a plasm of several sorts, where only the two-sided correlation in the spatially homogeneous case is considered. Since the integration of the equations obtained herefrom, is not possible, the author gives the following simplifying assumption: for a sufficiently high mean temperature of the plasm the reciprocation of the single particles one to Card 1/2 another is small compared with the action of all charged particles The Quantum-Kinetic Equation for a Plasmof Several Sorts SOV/155-56-2-40/47 together to the considered plasm particle. Under this assumption, after a convolution transformation and after the decomposition of the Fourier components of the correlation funotion into Fourier Integrals with respect to impulses, an explicit ex- preasion for the sought quantum-kinetic equation can be obtained. In the special case there results the equation of Bogolyuboy and Gurov /Ref 1]. The author thanks the academician N.N. Bogolyubov. IT. Bogolyubov (references 1, 2) a natural generalization of the quantum kinetic equation for the description of the stochastic process in systems with several types of charged particles can be obtained. These particles are supposed to belong to a random number of M >/ 2 of various types. If, into the quantum equation for the quantum-like distribution function F (p;t) of any certain particle of the type a in a spatiall9 harmonic case, the solutions of the system of quantum equations are inserted for the quantum functions of the correlation deviation C , the quantum kinetic equation for a multitype plasma can NO Card 112 obtained. Because of the difficult determination of the ex- 5 6 - 2 -4 3/5 1 On the Quantum-Kinetic Equation for Systems With Several TyDes of Char~--ed Partides act solution for the functions C b the problem mu3t be sin- plified by assuming the exchangg intera-ction and the Cou- lomb interaction to be small. Also the strength of the re- action of the above-mentioned Darticle on the reaction of the great majority of particles surrounding this partcle has to be considered to be small. The equation resultin_r on these conditions is -iven in detail. Then an approximative ex- presoion for the screenin-, coefficients in total degenera- tion is given for a multitype system of many charged par- ticles obeying the Fermi statistics, There are 4 references, all of which are Slavic. Such an has already been carried out for the spatially homogeneoua case (Refs 5, 6); in the homo~,eneous space the electron dintribution function is equal to the equation of notion in Bloch'i (~-Jokh) conductivity theory. The authors of this paper derive a claguical approximation C"rd 1/3 for the equation of motion for inhomwl~-ermus electron- and GOV/56-35-5-12/56 on Equations of Motion of Particle Systems lifth Are in Interaction Uith Lattice Oscillations oscillator distribution, which has the shape of a Fokker- Planck (Plank) equation in phase space. Also for the correspond- ing inhomoCeneous quantum distribution function an equation of motion is derived. A Hamiltonian is used as a basis which in set up according to Froehlich (Frelikh)(Ref 12) lov Vke electron system interacting with the crystal lattice oscilla- tion- flerefrom, a distribution function is derived in the coordinates and momenta of the electrons and oscillators. The system of approximation equations is set up according to Bogolyubov and Gurov (Ref 2), and solutions are derived. It is shown that the general form of the electron distribution function, if aihomogeneous distribution of exchange terms is assumed, goes over into terms correspondin- to those of Bloch's theory (Refs 9, 11). Also the equation (average) de- scribing the crystal lattice oscillations is written down for the case of homogeneous electron distribution. Expressions have also been derived for the frequency and the damping decrement of oscillations. The authors finally thank _',c~ai-rLJcian N.N. Card 2/3 Borolyubov and D. N.
