Abstract :The average yield of agricultural plants in
districts of Eas-
te--m Caucasus by inefficient methods of outmoded
agriculture
is very low and is incompatible with the local. rich
soil and
climatic conditions. The observations on plant root
systems
in old irrigated districts give reason to suppose a
possible
additional increase of yield as a result of
utilization loy
