SUBJECT: Report of DD/P Career Service Board Activities for
the Period 15 June 1953 to 15 July 1953
1. The DD/P Career Service Board held one meeting during the
period 15 June 1953 to 15 July 1953.
2. The purpose of the meeting was to review and discuss a
proposed selection system for the promotion of DD/P personnel from
OS-14 to GS-15. The Board agreed to adopt a procedure whereby all
employees currently in grade GS-14 would be considered periodically
by their respective Career Service Board for promotion to GS-15.
It was further decided that the individuals recommended for pro-
motion to GS-15 would be referred to the DD/P Career Service Board
for final operational approval.
3. The proposed selection procedure is being coordinated
within DD/P at the present time and is expected to be published
and put into operation within the near future.
