The reports mail'cv@- @Ieni at the general anti sectional meetings of the con-
gress were mainly concerned with the following questions: (1) The working-out
hygienic standards for the levels of UV radiations. (2) The problem of compensa-
tion of the UV radiation deficiency. (3) Utilization of the bactericidal property of
UV railiation in hygienic practice. 'rhe wide discussion of These questions proved
that during the periml in between the cungresses. considerable achievement$ were
attained in the investiga t inns of UV radiations and the possibility of their utilizatign -
(tit- hygienic purposes. The congress pointed out that the solving of such problems
as: the determination of the hygienic standard of UV radiation. the ways of enrich-
ment of Use light with UV rays and the use of the Ixictericidal property of UV radia-
tions for disinfection or air in rooms in presence of people, were all based on
hygienic requirements. At the same time it was noticed that the preventive UV rad-
iation of people especially in the northirn regions, and the UV disinfection at air
from the airborne Infections are not being used widely as yet.
