r`~ T ;~ANDARO FORM NO. 64 _nnt ved F lease 1999/09/2.G'~IA-Fk" P, - R ~p Y Fig g O ~ 01900560001-9 _ v~~vw cntlvr(1-prcc~ctrr~ a UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT To Chief, Graphics Register, OCD Attn: 25X1A9a FROM : Chief, Contact Division, 00 25X1A2g DATE: 10 May 1955 1. We searched every possible record file of the Dodge Company, domestic and export, trying to locate a photograph of one of their 3/L ton liXL military units which was close to the GAZ-69. The closest unit we could locate is the old Dodge T-2114 and, if you will refer to the Standard Military Motor Vehicle Book, dated 1 Sept 1943, on page 172, you will note a unit This is the same unit as per the picture being f orwarde . 25X1 A2g 2. The picture being dispatched with the same view as the ZIS-110 Taxi is the same photograph which the Packard Motor Car Company submitted with the analysis report This report therefore will give you complete specifications on e -110. 25X1 A2g 3. General Motors/Truck Division: Difficulties existed here in regard to a bus similar to the ZIS-151, the reason being that the view of the Soviet unit indicates an early 3600 series CIVIC unit but some variations have been inaugurated, such as the slanting windshield which throws the model into a later 3b00. We are, therefore, sending two photographs to show both CSC units. Incidentally, 0MC questions the passenger capacity of the ZIS-154 indicated as handling approximately 60 passengers. The way the bus companies figure this is by the number of windows in the bus. An eight-window bus will accommodate 3b pas- sengers, a nine-window bus will carry Lt0 passengers, and a ten-window bus will carry 45 passengers. In looking at the Soviet picture, and assuming that the windows are more or less of the same width as those used in the US, the capacity of their bus would be roughly 3Fb passen- gers, or a maximum of LO. 4. Chevrolet Motor Co: This division feels that there is a bit of confusion as to your comparative models to the Soviet units as against those of the Opal Kapitan, or the Opal Kadet. The reason is that the specifications on the TT-20 cover a four cylinder unit with a 2.12 rating as against the Opal Kapitan rating of 2.714. They feel that the Soviet unit has stolen more features from the British Standard Vanguard and the French Puegot. They also pointed out to us that the Opal was never made in a station wagon type, but they have given us pictures as close as they think will give you comparative details, including pictures of the Vanguard. 5.
