The 6 "Vidin"' In fanta^y' Division, Vratsa.
5. The 6 "Vidin" Infantry Division is located in a 1-story building about 20 meters
square at No..36 or No. 17 Neofit Risli Street in Vratsa. This unit retained its
old name and Pode;leni.e number when it was reorganized, and is identified as followst
"Vomm Komandatvo - Podele_nia, .-c 67" (Military Command - Podelenie 4 x 67).
6. Units subordinate= to this division are located at Vratsa and in the neighboring
areas.
The 13 Infantry Regiment at Kyustendil
7. The 13 Infantry Regiment. haw remained ' in its former barracks in Kyustendul since
its reorganization. In 199-190, it repainted its old sign "13 Infantry Regiment"
and added "Podelenie 7 x 57" which is the identification of its superior units the
7 Infantry Division.
8. The regiment i. c lodged in barracks din Aleksandrova Street {which continues to
Gyueshevo) in the western outskirts of Kyustendils facing the city's high schools
The barracks consist of 10 or 12 stone masonry sheds with tile roofs, about 20 by
eight meters in size, which are located along the side of the road. The barracks
are old building a wT i.ch have been reconstructed since World War II. They occupy
an area approximately 350 meters square and are enclosed by a fence about two
meters high.
9. The unit consists of a pioximatel 1 000 men and is commanded by an unidentified

The 22 Infantryr Regent at Dupnitsa
12. The 22 Infantry Reg cent, subordinate to 7 Infantry Division, is lodged in barracks
in the southern outskirts of Dupnitsa on the east side of the road to Gorna
Dzhumaya. The ba,rricks are identical to those of 13 Regiment, but occupy a smaller
area.
The Infantry Red=anent, at Radonnir
33. The 24 Infantry Reeimnt occupies barracks located approximately 1,500 meters from
Radomir, on the east side of the road which leads to Pernik. The barracks was-,built
in 1940 and consists of approximately 20 stone masonry pavilions with tile roofs.
Each pavilion is approximately 20 by eight meters in size. The regiment consists
of about 1,000 men and is subordinate to 7 Infantry Division.

New Road in Radomir Area
1. In 1950, work was completed on a new' road from Rakovo Selo to Tsarevo Selo' which
are located 30 and 65 kilometers north-northwest of Kyustendul, respectively. The
road is 30-32 kilometers long and has a gravel surface over a natural base; it
follows an old mule-trail.
Canning Factory at Vidin
2. The 17' Partisab Canning FaotorYs constructed in 1948-1919, is located in the
southern outskirts of Vidin,, in the vicinity of the goods warehouses of the rail-
road station, on the east side of the Vidin-Vidbol road. It ronsiste of a main
1-story building and various small sheds.
3. Approximately 600 workers are employed. Production consists of fruit sauces,
marmalade, and canned vegetables. Canning in tins and glass is done by the vaouum
method.
Mines in Pleven and Svilcc xad
4. important depositsi of lead and roapper have been discovered in the Pleven area.
Exploitation of the deposits was begun in 1949s
5? in 1946-1947 exploitation was begun on important coal, lead, and copper deposits

in the iron-working Industry for the production of steel.

The Tobacco Industry in K3rustendil
There are four tobacco processing establis1 tints in Kyustendil, as follows
a. The former Leon Aseov Enterprise, located about fourkilometers'east of the
city on the road to Dupnitsa; consists of two 3-story buildings,each about
150 by 60 meters in size,'enclosed by a wall; the work is seasonal, fron 'November
to April, and about 600-700' workers are employed, most of ,whom are students;,
production consists of 20-kilogram bales of :Asst and second quality tobacco;:
b. The Balkan Tobacco Factory, located at No. 52 Stalin Street;;oonsists of"two
2-story`buildings, eaoh'80 by 40 meters in size; employs approximately 400
workers, and produces 20-kilogram bales of first and second quality tobacco;
oa The Regional Cooperative Unnion, located in the outskirts of the city on the
secondary road which leads to Skinyano village; consists of a 5-story building
about 250 by 100 meters in size, enclosed by a wall; employs approximately 500
workers, and produces 20-kilogram bales of first and second quality tobacco; and
d. Another enterprise located on Garata Street inn- the vicinity, of the railroad

The' Civilian Hospital in Ksiustendil
2. The civilian hospital of Kyustendil is located in Granitsa village, approximately
two kilometers north of the city. It is a large oompls , consisting of six or
seven l4tory buildings measuring about 60 by 1'2 meters each. One of'the buildings
is.reserved for military use. The hospital has a total of 1,000 or 1,200 beds.

No. 16Chifte Banya Street in Kyvstendil has been nationalized and now- houses the
surgical department of the civilian hospital. It is a 1-story building about 20
meters square.
The Textile Factorystendil
The textile factory in Kyustendil' formerly the Salome Factory under French owner-
ship, is located on Stalin Street (formerly Alekeanaro`-ska .Street). - It'consists'-of
a large stone masonry pavilion aprroximately 100 by 200 meters in size, which is
divided into 12 sections lengthwise. About 200 to 300 workers are employed. Pro-
duction consists of natural wool thread in skeinse
