OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Tuesday - 24 October 1967
2. F-- I In response to his inquiry regarding
I advised David Martin, in the office of Senator Thomas J.
Dodd, that neither Onor the other two persons mentioned in the
letter received from a Bridgeport, Connecticut constituent, were in any
way connected with this Agency. I added that I doubted that the Senator
would want to be involved in this case.
Mr. Martin advised me that Senator Dodd had been admitted to the
hospital in Connecticut today for rest and observation.

3? I I George Murphy, Joint Committee on Atomic
nergy statl, called to say e.nator Henry M. Jackson had scheduled public
hearings on U.S. ABM Systems on 6 and 7 November and said the Senator
desired to have executive sessions on 8 November with the Joint Chiefs
appearing in the morning and the Director appearing in the afternoon. Senator
Jackson would like the Director to review the status of foreign activities
relating to ABM and ICBM programs with particular emphasis on the Sino-
Soviet systems. I told Murphy we would check on this and be in touch with him.
I took this opportunity to acknowledge receipt of Mr. Conway's letter
on the Philby case and told Mr. Murphy we would be in touch with him later
on this.
