'T' hank you for your assistance in drafting an "Exhibition
and Reproduction Agreement" for the use of the Fine Arts
Commission in reaching agreement with artists or photographers
whose work is to be displayed in the Agency Exhibit Hall. I
have modified your draft slightly to make reference to
photographers since photography is so often used in our
exhibits. I have also, you will note, added a sentence to
paragraph 3 regarding the ownership of the reproductions and we
have elected to delete your proposed paragraph 5.
Your interest in this matter at this point is probably
minimal, but since the agreement we will use is based upon your
good work, we thought you ought to see what the final version
will look like. Again, thanks for your help.

referred to as the Commission.
2. The Artist/Photographer is the creator of the original
work(s) of art or photographs described in the attachment
(specify number, type and title(s) of original work(s) of art
or photographs in the attachment.)
3. In consideration for the exhibition of (his/her)
original work(s) of art or photographs, as described above, by
the Commission, the Artist/Photographer hereby specifically
consents to the reproduction of (his/her) original work(s) of
art or photographs by the Commission, and to the distribution
of all resulting reproductions by the Commission to requesting
offices or persons located within the Central Intelligence
Agency for exhibition by such offices or persons within Central
Intelligence Agency facilities. The Artist/Photographer
understands that such reproductions are the property of the
Central Intelligence Agency.
4. The Commission agrees that no such reproduction of the
Artist's/Photographer's original work(s) of art or photographs
will be distributed to any office or persons located outside
the Central Intelligence Agency and/or for exhibition outside
Central Intelligence Agency facilities without the express
written consent of the Artist/Photographer.
5. In witness whereof, the parties have signed this
Agreement.

SUBJECT: Exhibition and Reproduction Agreement
1. In response to your request for assistance, attached
is an draft "Exhibition and Reproduction Agreement" to be
executed by artists or their designated representatives and
the Fine Arts Commission in order that the Commission may
reproduce the artists' original works of art and distribute
the reproductions within the Agency. Since it is contemplated
that the Agreement be unclassified,
The second attached form may be {used by undercover
Agency employees to designate such a representative (with
appropriate classification after signature by the artist.)

original work(s) of art, as described above, by the Commission,
the Artist hereby specifically consents to the reproduction of
(his/her) original work(s) of art by the Commission, and to the
distribution of all resulting reproductions by the Commission
to requesting offices or persons located within the Central
Intelligence Agency for exhibition by such offices or persons
within Central Intelligence Agency facilities.
4. The Commission agrees that no such reproduction of the
Artist's original work(s) of art will be distributed to any
office or persons located outside the Central Intelligence
Agency and/or for exhibition outside Central Intelligence
Agency facilities without the express written consent of the
Artist.
5. The Commission agrees to make a reproduction of the
Artist's original work available to (him/her) upon (his/her)
written request.
