of Economics at Georgetown University and Director
of Economic Research, Center for Strategic and Inter-
national Studies has asked me to talk to her seminar

students come from Georgetown's Graduate School and
its School of Foreign Science.
2. I request permission to speak to this seminar
on trends in population and food production. I will,
of course, not discuss any classified information with
this group. It is understood that I will be identified
as an employee of CIA and that I am responsible for the
recently declassified paper, OPR-401 (Potential Implica-
tions of Trends in World Population, Food Production,
and Climate j.
