Officer, DCI Area; Subject; Revised
FY 1974 Staff Personnel Allocations
1. Referent memorandum advised that revisions
to staffing complements to adjust to PY-74 ceiling
allocutions should be submitted to the Director of
Personnel by 20 August 1973. OPPB has confirmed the
DCI Area ceiling allocation for FY-74 as 0 positions--
presuunably this will be reduced to =with the transfer
of one position from the Office of the Director to
the DD/M&S on 24 July 1973. 4 ent positions on the
table of organization total Pending adjustments
will reduce this total to by 31 August (a reduction
of positions in the IG Staff countered by
pos cns to be reinstated on the ICS table of organ-
ization which were transferred to OJCS in error in
July).
2. The O /DCI and Independent Offices are there-
fore obligated to delete an additional positions
from the table of organization by 20 August. Most if

not all of these positions will core from the Office
of National Estimates which is scheduled for a reorgan-
ization< In view of this imminent reorganization, we
plan to defer the identification of the0 additional
positions to be deleted until such time as the reorgan-
ization of ONE is completed and a new table of organization'
is established,
