1. In response to the DDA. request for data relative to the
movnt of Agency employnes during. the year, forwarded herewith are
computer runs providing, information. for various periods of time. For
a picture of the rxmthly movement, there is a rum for each I)irectnrate
for every other north of the fiscal year 1978 beginning with Noverher
1977. In addition there is a suwsry report for the fiscal year for
each Directorate and for the Agency.
2. Attached is a page explaining the codes used on the reports,
and a su ary~ of the pert t t' mennt" data for each Directorate
and for the Agency. have not broken out the C-14 to GS-03 data
inasmuch as the report carries the statistics for individual grades
and classifications.
3. The data on these reports is an.edited version of the total
"reassignments" actions processed. For various reasons of
lock
input personnel ae tions which change retirement. systems, make block
organizational changes, extend PRAs, change FANS, et al. are carried
as "reassignments" until. broken out further as we have done for ta'is
study.
4. The columns on the attached reports valid for reflec
employee "movement" to a position are EODs, both Ceiling Gains,
Reassignment and From TAS. T4 n caI ined data is particularly ~' rtant
in looking at an Ay-ode vacancy notice system for all positions .
The change of SD (Service Designation) could be a separate action if
the individual is already on board in a Directorate or could be included
in the Total Peassigme nts. While -not -specifically reflecting "soverent"
