Assistant to Senator Hubert Humphrey, concerning a letter received
by the Senator from Pastor Arthur Drevlow of St. James, Minnesota.
The Pastor, among other things, requested advice as to whether Powers
was under instruction to commit suicide rather than fall into the hands
of the Soviets.
Mr. Flynn advised that the Letter would be answered without
responding to the question of Powers' instructions and that he anticipated
no difficulty in such handling of the letter.
