"The tank-building workshop of the Kirov Works in Leningrad is closely linked with the
workshop of the Kirov Tractor Wnrkr, in the town of Chelyabinsk. In fact, the latter is
a eubaidi.ary plant of the Kirov Works in Leningrad.
"In 1953, the tank-building workshop of the Kirov Works in Leningrad. had about 4500
workers, employees and engineers.
"The tank-building workshop gets the parts for the tanks from the tractor, the
punching and forge, the compressing and the third mechanical shops of the enter

the type 'ISU-152'. The average monthly output of both types together is c.hou~rt 200.
"The assemblage of the tanks and artillery installations is carried o'u. on production
lines as is customary in automobile factories. The towers of the tanks are both cast
in one piece and punched. All parts are electrically welded.
