Regular forces also are being reinforced by armed militia of the powerful national peasants' or- ganization which yesterday strongly endorsed Presi- dent Paz Estenssoro's moves against the miners. 25X1 As a precaution against violent demon t t' s ra ions by pro-miner elements in La Paz, all pro-govern- ment organizations have been instructed to mount 25X1 f ice and at certain public buildings. 1 j Approved For Relea a 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975A 07400170001-1 25X1 25X1 Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 Next 2 Page(s) In Document Exempt Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 LAOS CHINA Kam Keut o1marat Road ------ Trock or trail - Railroad O STATUTE MILES t00 a - /~ ~'~te~~~ Luang Ptabang CHINA Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 11 Dec 63 CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE BULLETIN Map //////////////////////////////// 25X rMMM! roved For Rele se 2003/01/29: CIA-RD P79T0097 A007400170001-1 1 NOTES Laos: Right-wing forces continue to advance against Pathet Lao positions in central Laos with suspicious ease. Rightist regular and guerrilla forces reportedly have occupied Lak Sao, a strategic Pathet Lao position only 21 miles from the North Vietnamese border. The token resistance offered by the Pathet Lao in recent engagements inthis region and in the Vang Vieng area north of Vientiane has resulted in "losses" which may later be cited as "justification" for a significant Communist counteraction. 25X1 25X1 11 Dec 63 Approved For Releas DAILY BRIEF a 7400170001-1 25X1 25X1 Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 Approved For Release 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975AO07400170001-1 Approved For Rele se 2003/01/29 : CIA-RDP79T00975A0074 170001-1 THE PRESIDENT Executive Offices of the White House Special Counsel to the President The Special Assistant for National Security Affairs The Scientific Adviser to the President The Director of the Budget The Director, National Aeronautics and Space Administration The Department of State The Secretary of State The Under Secretary of State The Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs The Deputy Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs The Counselor and Chairman of the Policy Planning Council The Director of Intelligence and Research The Treasury Department The Secretary of the Treasury The Under Secretary of the Treasury The Department of Defense The Secretary of Defense The Deputy Secretary of Defense The Secretary of the Army The Secretary of the Navy The Secretary of the Air Force The Assistant Secretary of Defense (International Security Affairs) The Assistant Secretary of Defense The Chairman, The Joint Chiefs of Staff Chief of Naval Operations, United States Navy Chief of Staff, United States Air Force Chief of Staff, United States Army Commandant, United States Marine Corps U.S. Rep., Military Committee and Standing Group, NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Europe Commander in Chief, Pacific Commander in Chief, Atlantic The Director, Defense Intelligence Agency The Director, The Joint Staff The Director for Intelligence, The Joint Staff The Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Department of Army The Director of Naval Intelligence, Department of Navy The Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence, Department of the Air Force The Department of Justice The Attorney General The Federal Bureau of Investigation The Director The Atomic Energy Commission The Chairman The National Security Agency The Director The United States Information Agency The Director The National Indications Center The Director Approved For Rele 25X1 25X1 0'/////~iii~iiii Approve or Rel' P3/9J P79 0975AO07400170001-1 100 2.
