orient members of the mi itery service with the capabilities x+.nd

limitations of CIA. to support wartime military operations, is
currently being organized for presentation in Room 117, Central
Ruilding, commencing 19 September 1955. This is the second offering
of the course (the first given in Deeez ber 1954) and is to be
presented to forty (40) senior military personnel especially
selected by the Joint Chiefs of Staff on a need-to-know basis.
These officers will represent the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the
Joint Staffs of Theater Commanders, Staffs and Faculties of
i~efi _or Military Service Schools (.Army War College, Armed Forces
3teff College and National War College) and components of the
Army, Navy and Air Force Denartments with whom CIA will operate

basis with senior personnel of DD/P and DDS handling the
orientation. At this stage of scheduling,

and handle discussion periods. In addition, letters of invitation
have been orenared asking Yx. Dulles to oven the course and
r. Wisner to close the course (as he did in 1954). Others to
annear include the Chief, WE Division (DD/P) , the Chief of the
Operations Training School, Deputy Chief of TD'S. Chief and
members of the War Plans Division (MA), and others of similar
caliber. At the express reouest of the JCS the attendance limit
has been increased from 25 to 40 for this running. There are
also indications the JCS expect to bring back officers from
Theater Staffs specifically for this course.
