I have just learned that an old colleague--a San Francisco
attorney by name of William Schwarzer--has been named a Fedel
judge in San Francisco. Schwarzer was one of the senior staff rYn-
hers of the Rockefeller Commission. He dug very deeply into CI`
matters, particularly in the commercial, proprietary, and Wateate
areas. CVP say
He thinks the world of CIA and its people. He is vitally intered,
however, in insuring that it pays a due regard to propriety and leg ity.
Thought you would be interested in this. I do not know exactly in w.ch
court he-is a judge.
