OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Thursday - 20 August 1970
2. (Secret - GLC) I advised Bill Woodruff, Counsel, Senate
Appropriations Committee, that Tuesday, 25 August, was the only day
next week we could brief the CIA Appropriations Subcommittee. Woodruff
said he would check this out and be back in touch with me.
3. (Unclassified - GLC) Talked with the staff of Representative
William E. Minshall (R., Ohio) about Mr. Maury's meeting with the
Congressman before his departure for his trip to Korea. His secretary
said the Congressman is presently on a fishing trip but she expects that
he will return to Washington some time between now and the 30th of the
month which is his tentative departure date for Korea. They expect to
talk to Mr. Minshall on Monday and will let us know when it will be
convenient for him to see Mr. Maury.
4. (Unclassified - GLC) Talked with NSA, about the
Moss Subcommittee inquiry on telephone monitoring. I told hat
we had prepared a response along the same lines as the one given e
Subcommittee in 1961 and gave him a reference to the Committee report
containing that response.
5. (Unclassified - GLC) David Martin, on the staff of Senator
Thomas J. Dodd (D., Conn.), called and asked if I would drop by to see
him Monday on a confidential matter.
