1. Ceske Budejovice is being built up into a place of arms of the first rank. East
of the railroad station, work on a new barracks complex has been completed.
Various private and public buildings in the neighborhood have been taken over for
high commands. In the railroad station itself there are a gaurd company, a
military transport aommand, and a medical platoon.
2. The Bistritz cloister has been taken over by the army, rebuilt, and is now
occupied by an artillery unit.
3. The Rera'reichenstein cloister has also been taken over and rebuilt; it is now
occupied by troops, but informant did not know what unit.
4. The Cistercian cloister on the bank of the Moldau has also been rebuilt and is
now occupied by an infantry unit.
5. Six km east of Ceske Budejovice a new artillery exercise area and target range
has been set up.
6. Numerous pLss r va a houses have been taken over in the villages of Krumlov and
PrahatitzicJ and are being rebuilt into barracks.
