Alt-ioennevits airfield between 31 July and 11 at 1953: jig school children that parachutists Jumped from a 25X1 twin-engine aircraft near the field at-about 6 p.m. and that some of parachutists had landed in the woods. A t Between 8:30 am. and noon, there was air-to-ground firing by g:?oups of 3 KiG-15s each at the Belgern training grounds. The MiGs approached from the south: came down at an angle of about 45 degrees and fired 3 to 5 bursts, each at targets which could not be observed, Weather was partly cloudy with intermittent rain, Between 5:30 p.m. and 6a 30 p,m.' individual I1-10s.practiced flying and diving over the field. tt Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Il-lOs practiced flying individually and in elements of twos. There were gusty westerly winds. At 10:30 a.m., a formation of 8 twin-eng:lne monoplanes approached the fie ld and landed.
