DIA -CIA Reiationshi s Involvin the Defense Intelli ence School
1. Basically, relationships between DIS and CIA elements are maintained
throughout a normal year in four ways :
a. Through the permanent assignment at DIS of a senior training official
on loan from Cla.
b. Through CIA guest lecturers addressing students in DIS programs of
Instruction.
e. Through direct liaison between the DIS Commandant and the :Director
of Training, CIA .
. Through the conduct of Frojectf

represents CIA as a Faculty Advisor and Liaison Officer.
He conducts some instruction at LEIS, he serves as the channel for DIS
requirements for CIA training support and obtains all CIA guest speakers
through direct invitation. In each calendar year, CIA presents approximately
400 hours of instruction at the Defense Intelligence School and 40 hours of
briefings to DIS classes at the CIA Headquarters building. All of these lectures
or briefings stress CIA -DIA ,and intelligence community relationships in
general, and many of them relate to overseas activities. With regard to
