ACS: Requirement No. C-RR14--81,316 (Project No. C 715-61+)
1. In response to Requirement No. C-RR4-81,316 (C 715-61+), a
st was made from aerial photography dated
25X1D of the Meng-so area in order to determine if new
construction has occurred or is under way at various military in-
stallations throughout.the area.
2. Co arative photo coverage of 25X1D
25X1D reveals no apparent changes at Hsi-Meng 22 5N-99 29E),
25X1D Border Defense Regiment (identified as the 8th Border
Defense Regiment in the Order of Battle Chinese Communist Army - DIA
Productions Center April 1 3 S-61-63). Hsi-Meng was identified as
25X1D Meng-so in MCI - however, it is located 9.5 nm
NW of Meng-so and is now carried as Hsi-Meng. The camp consists of 81
buildings including 1+6 barracks, 5 administrative type buildings, and
30 support buildings.

3. Lack of comparative photo cover precluded the determination of
new construction at the remaining sites. Lao-Chang (22 1+5N-99
Z+7E) shows construction in process at this probable Border Defense Regiment
consisting of approximately 33 buildings including 13 barracks and 20 adman/
25X1A support type buildings. A division size camp at Meng-Lang (22 35N-99 57E),
consists of 302 buildings, including 163 barracks, 21 mess halls,
19 strative.and 99 support/storage buildings. A Border Defense Regiment
(Identi ed as the 9t'6 Border Defense Regiment, Order of Battle, Chinese
Communist Army, DIA Productions Center, April 1 3, S-61-63) at Meng-Lien
25X1D (22 20N-99 35E), consists of approximately 2 buildings.-

A military rest and refuel point at Meng-Ma (22 13N-99 24E),
consists of two areas, one of which contains 16 buildings and the other
contains 12 buildings.
4. No military activity was noted at Meng-Yin (22 30N-99 43E),
Vingngun (22 30N-99 38E), and'Mong Nga (21 18N-99 15E).
5. Forwarded for-your retention are a total of 6 annotated photo
enlargements (CTA/PID/GMB/P-l342/64 thru P-1347/6+-, copy 1 .
