PREFACE
This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated,' published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Phqtographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1P1(9 (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the CIA Photographic Inte igence Division.
In the interest of uniformity, the titles and lett designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in the project requirement.. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the variou cilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service,Te) landing strips,
(D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am-
munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and
facilities, (J) equipment storage /maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields,
(L) small arms firing ranges, (M) driver training areas, (NI tank/
assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat trajectory firing ranges, (Q) artillery
emplacements (batteries), (R) infantry or combined arms field train-
ing areas or courses, (S) special training facilities, (T) unidentified
facilities or tracking activity.

The Zhukovka Ammunition Storage, Depot
Sergino South is located: 8 kilometers (km)
southeast of Kemchug, 74 km west of Kras-
noyarsk, and 81 km southwest of Achinek.
The installation is served by a 6 km spur from
the main rail line between Krasnoyarsk and
#chinsk. The installation is connected to Kem-
chug by an improved secondary all- weather road.
The installation encompasses approximate-
ly 875 acres and includes 63 explosives stor-
age buildings, one transshipment building and
one guard post within a double-fenced storage

area. 1!,/group of 36 support buildings is loca-
ted approximate) one km northwest of the

The installation is rail served. One tran-
shipment building is located inside the 390- by
30-foot storage area.
Road Service
The installation is served by a 6 km im-
proved, all-weather road from Kemchug. The
secured storage area is served by short access
roads leading to the storage buildings.
Administrative and Troop.Housing Area
Area D contains 36 administrative/support
buildings. The function of the individual build-
ings within this support complex cannot be de-
to from rmine~d photography.
