SUBJECT: Contracting Support for FBIS, FY 1983
REFERENCE: Memorandum for Director of Logistics from
Director, FBIS, dated 5 November 1982-
Subject: Contracting Team for FBIS (:1 25X1
1. The DDS$T, the Director of Logistics, and the Director
of Research and Development have agreed to establish the ORD
Contracting Team as the principal support element for FBIS's
modernization contract undertakings during FY 1983.
2. The support to be rendered by the Chief, Contracts
Staff, ORD will include all aspects of the contract cycle in the
manner and to the extent that support is rendered to ORD on
their contract efforts. We understand that the COTR for the
modernization segment of FBIS's requirements will be
and he is established as the principal point of
contact with ontracts Staff, ORD. Chief, Contracts Staff, ORD
has been instructed to keep me advised of the activity involved
in order that I may determine whether or not this arrangement
will facilitate FBIS's needs without acting to the detriment of
the required ORD contract support.
3. I hope that this arrangement meets with your approval.
In any event, we will reevaluate the efficiency of this activity
commencing FY 1984.
