THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS INFORMATION AFFECTING THE RATIONAL DEFENSE

It is reported that there has been a considerable amount of trade in the
past two years between Yugoslavia and Satellite countries. Items exported
and imported include priority products and large scale shipments of raw
materialsg strategic materials and semi manufactured goods, It has not
been determined whether the nature of the trade is official or unofficial.,
but it is possible that Yugoslavia or certain Yugoslav business men have
been tempted by the possibility of large profits in business deals with

from Kraljevo en route to Romanic;
September-October 1951
f. One hundred and sixty vehicles of the Dodges Studebaker and Chevrolet models,
dispatched by rail from Nis, en route to Rumania;

g. Two.columns (sic) of vehicles loaded with foodstuffs and various United
States merchandise, forwarded by rail from Krusevac to Turnu Severin;

h. Barges loaded with petroleum arrived during the night at Smederevo from
Rumania;
i. Miscellaneous armament, including automatic arms of German origin, obtained
by Yugoslavia as war loot, was loaded on barges in various Yugoslav river
ports and forwarded to Turnu Severin;

Turnu Severin;
p. Two motor boats loaded with various equipment presumed to be war equipment
of Yugoslav manufacture, routed from Split, as it appears directly for
Albania;

been seen in the company of a Yugoslav diplomatic delegation;

r. Undetermined quantities of maize, grains, bauxite, manganese, arsenic and
antimony were dispatched from Yugoslavia to Hungary by river transportation;
a. Hungarian petroleum arrived in Yugoslavia via river transportation; and

Yugoslavia.
