THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The Shantung Military District has received orders from the Revolutionary Military
Council to incorporate a portion of the local peace preservation force into
an existing regular peace preservation division.l
2. Five peace preservation corps from eastern Shantung have been transferred to
Tsinan, where they will be trained and receive new equipment.
3. The Chinese Communist naval and ground forces have been holding combat exercises
along the sea coast near. Hungshihyai (4767/!-258/1509) and Huangtao (121-39, 36-44).
Local militia and transportation units also participated. No details could be
obtained because of the military blockade of the area.
