All of .the ammunition supplies were stored in an underground ceMant
bunker and were kept in such a manner as to permit quick .
distribution to the various sub-units in case of emergency, ie they
were stacked in separate piles and tabulated for the individual sub-
units. All tanks of the 45th Gds Mein Rifle Re t carried their
basic load of ammunition at all times.
