Each hutment consisted
of wooden buildings,
repair shops, and
garages. The hutments
were occupied exclusive-
ly by units from
Ka-ulas, where only
a guard battalion had
remained. Soldiers
observed wore tank
and artillery insignia,
and red-bordered black
epaulets. One of the
two generals stationed
in Kaunas was repeatedly
seen. The officers,
dependents were also
quartered in the same
summer camp. From
late October, the troops
participated in maneu-
vers held in the Sovetsk
(55-05N,21-50E,-
Chernyakhovsk
