SUBJECT: Invitation to Address Mid-America Committee
1. Action Requested: Accept or decline this invitation.
2. Background: Because-of your heavy schedule while in Chicago
on 24 August to address the American Legion Convention, you did not
accept the invitation from the Mid-America Committee to speak before
their group. Tom Miner, President of the Committee has now come back
and invited you to address the group during one of the following dates:
November 3 or 4, December8 or 9, or January 12, 19 or 26. As you are
aware, the Committee is comprised of Chief Executive Officers of
several major midwest corporations, many of whom you know.
3. Recommendation: None. Indicate your preference and authorize
Public Affairs to respond on your behalf. n
