POLITICAL-ADMINISTRATIVE MAP OF CUBA
The Map Library of the Central Intelligence Agency has recently
acquired an official political-administrative map of Cuba at the scale
of 1:750,000. The map covers the entire island of Cuba, the Isle of
Pines, and the offshore cays in two sheets. Compiled by the Cuban
Institute of Geodesy and Cartography in 1972, it was printed in 1974.
In addition to political-administrative information, the map shows
cities in five population categories, six categories of roads, and
railroads, airports, and dams. It locates sugar refineries by name
and includes 1970 census data down to the region level. It is the
most recent official map of Cuba presently available.
