L. Miller (R., Nebr.), the ranking minority member of the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs, will be in Europe and the Near East during November and December to make a study of irrigation and reclamation matters, especially those built with United States funds. In this connection, he will us visiting several power stations as indicated below, Mr. Miller will be accompanied by his wife. Mr. Miller has been authorized to utilize local currencies in the Congressional Travel Account (19FT561) t defray his official travel expenses. Provisions of the Handbook for Congressional Fore Travel apply. Posts are requested to wee on arxiw~ i7 to exile i e ouatoms clearances, to arrange hotel reserv.tions in accordance with that listed below, and to assist as required, Representative Miller has asked that hotel confiriations be given to him before his departure Therefore inform the Department the name of the hotel and dates confirmed for Mr. and Mrs. Miller (double with bath). Also, Mr. Miller desires to know the names of the Codel officers, and ICA personnel where available, assigned to him at each post for this trip before he leaves. The line furnishes a electric current to the Zonguldak, Eoslu, and Eregli coal and harbor operations; to other industrial areas around Immet; and to the Municipal Electric System in Istanbul. ICA financed U.S. equipment and the services of a U.S. engineering firm which designed, acted as purchasing agent, and supervised construction.
