II B. Production. The production of intelligence on
the economy of the PRC will be responsive in nature
and much of the coverage will be handled in regular
production vehicles. In addition, OER will:
1. Produce two assessments of the prospects
for the Chinese economy.
2. Publish a statistical base from which to evaluate
agricultural programs, policies, and output claims.
3. Publish an analysis of modern industrial expansion
in major civilian and military industries.
4. Continue to produce basic research reports that
will lead up to a complete set of national accounts by
FY 1978.
