It is the Station's reply to DIRECTOR the
18 November.
2. The gist of this cable is that although several promising leads
have been developed, the main progress to date is the fact that the Station is
now organized in such a way as ,to do the job properly". This statement is
going to have an obvious effect on 7th floor views regarding reorganization of
the Station under the pacification director setup.
3. I will show this cable to the Director and brief hire from it on
curren developments.
4. DIRECTORO was a good cable and we had no problems with
it. However. in view of the fact that Mr. Helms has made this office respon
sible for matters, I would appreciate it if outgoing
correspondence would pass through here before transmission.
