1. The following is for your information.
2. The Economic Intelligence Committee of the USIB is in the
process of reviewing its subcommittee structure. This review has
the purpose of establishing a more effective organization in terms
of the current requirements of the economic intelligence community.
3. The first action by the EIC resulting from the review has
been the abolition of five subcommittees (see reference), whose
continued existence could not be adequately justified.
4. As the review continues there will probably be additional
changes, such as abolition or merger of other subcommittees, new
terms of reference for certain subcommittees, and possibly the
establishment of new subcommittees.
