1. Only Hungarian Army units were observed ini.ISKOLC (R 49/J 87)
between 27 June and 17 July 1949. No soviet troops were seen.

B.-rder Uuard Bn and its training company.
b. i'ormer ntiaircraft Artillery Barracks on Szentpeteri Street,
about two miles north of a . 3LC and east of the road to SAJOSS'ZE1,TT-
PLITER(R 49/J 89); liq of the 101st Litz Arty Pegt. Another motorized
artillery unit; component units of the 2d order Jlu and Bn. A post-
man stated that mail for the Hq of the 1C tie 4,1z Arty Rep.;t was
delivered to the barracks.

Barracks Street: infantry troops of one battalion.
d. I-rorxiaer iiranz Josef Barracks (also called Hussar Barracks) on
Szeles Streets corner of hussar Street: tr.otor transport unit with
about 40 v crd, Chevrolet and J,:iC trucks.
e. Szondy Barracks (also 'called Artillery Barracks) on baross
Street: i'1otorized and horse-drawn artillery troops,
